The Back Story

AWeber is one of the oldest email marketing solutions still in use today. Tom Kulzer founded AWeber in 1998.

A popular feature of AWeber with internet marketers was the ability to automatically wrap lines of text to a fixed width in a plain text email. This feature has been removed in the current version of the software.

In 2015, AWeber released a new feature called Tags, that allows for unique and customized marketing sequences. Then, in early 2017, the team at AWeber released an article that indicates which third party products integrate with AWeber and support tags.

Starting on January 24, the company is running a 2017 Email Marketing Master Class. The class will be delivered online over 6 weeks through email (of course) and will be taught by 6 different email marketing experts.

Did you know that AWeber includes a mobile app? It’s called AWeber Stats and it allows you to see all the results – opens, clicks, unsubscribes – of the recent emails you’ve sent out to your list. It’s free to all AWeber customers.

Tom Tate of the AWeber team just announced version 2.1 of this app, which has made some improvements to make it more user friendly.
