Newsletter #122
February 13, 2017
Welcome back. In the last newsletter, I talked about the importance of knowing the history of internet marketing. If you missed it, here’s where you can read it again.
As for today’s news, here are the top stories.
GetResponse Automation Update
Email marketing is the most essential form of internet marketing in your strategy. You’re going to need an email service provider that sends out your email and manages your list.
GetResponse is one of these email service providers. It’s quite affordable and many internet marketers have recently switched over to it from traditional favorite AWeber because of its functionality and rapid development.
Abby Hehemann just announced GetResponse’s latest product update. The old “action-based autoresponders” feature has now been re-badged as marketing automation.
This means can still automate sending of emails based on events such as email opens and clicks and special dates. However, it’s now done using visual workflows that are more powerful and flexible.
Here’s the official announcement.
Now you can manage Facebook and Instagram ads from Hootsuite
There are tools you can use to automate nearly everything in internet marketing. One of the most popular is Hootsuite. It allows you to view and manage all of your social media profiles in one system, schedule posts and set them to go out automatically.
Now, you can also use Hootsuite to manage your Facebook and Instagram paid ads. According to Richard Hungerford of Hootsuite, you don’t even need to enter the Facebook ad platform. This is made possible because Hootsuite recently acquired the online ad management software AdEspresso.
For more information, you can read Barry Levine’s recent report for MarTech Today.
