Plenty of internet marketing news today. Let’s waste no time and take a look at what’s been happening.

Traffic & Conversion Summit 2017

The Traffic & Conversion Summit is one of internet marketing’s most acclaimed live events.

The Digital Marketer team runs it annually and they’ve just announced the 8th annual event to be held in March in San Diego, California.

Find out more here, and there’ll be more information on this in the coming days and weeks.

Who Are You Talking To?

Brian Clark founded Copyblogger in 2006 and it has since become one of the leading sources of internet marketing training. After 11 years, Brian recently returned to writing for Copyblogger.

His latest piece is a detailed and step-by-step guide to coming up with your ideal customer persona, avatar, or character as Brian prefers to say.

His exercise proves you don’t have to settle with the customer that finds you but you can deliberately attract the customer you want.

Gmail Phishing Attack

If you’re doing email marketing, which I highly recommend you do, you should make yourself aware of a recent phishing attack that’s been going around for Gmail users.

It involves email attachments. When you try to open one, you’ll get a convincing login box that is actually fake and sends your personal info to the attackers.

According to an article by Lee Mathews for Forbes, even savvy users are getting tricked by it.

How to Sell Continuity

Russell Brunson is best known as the founder of ClickFunnels, a popular internet marketing software product that is sold on monthly subscription.

He recently appeared on the official ClickFunnels podcast, which Dave Woodward hosts, and shared his wisdom about selling continuity. In other words, how to sell a product on monthly subscription.

He says there’s a way to do it without being shady.

Quotation of the Day

“You don’t just accept who you find – you choose who you attract.”

– Brian Clark
