Some commentators have declared that YouTube is a threat to TV.

Maybe not, because YouTube recently announced it’s going to be delivering live TV streaming from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN, regional sports networks and dozens of popular cable networks.

In fact, there will be more than 40 popular cable networks included for $35 per month. Here’s the official announcement from YouTube’s product management director, Christian Oestlien.

What does this mean for you as a business owner?

YouTube is the world’s second biggest website and that’s why it’s a great way to distribute your marketing to the masses using video.

When you create a video, you can promote the video on the YouTube ad platform. The best part is that you don’t pay if people choose to skip your ad.

It’s always been a bit like placing an ad on TV, but a lot cheaper.

Now, it’s almost identical to placing an ad on TV, because you can have your ad display to people watching the same blockbuster TV productions. Plus, these people are more qualified because they’ve spent some money.

You can find all the resources you need to advertise on YouTube in step 9 of The Online Economy.

Learn from an online course expert

Not many products sell better on the internet than digital courses. Zippy Courses is the software we recommend that can help you produce them, and it was founded by Derek Halpern.

Before creating Zippy Courses, Derek created and sold online courses of his own, and he still does.

He’s currently launching a new one called 7 Figure Courses, which is an online course about creating and selling your own online course.

Take a look at 7 Figure Courses over here.

However, Russell is also the author of an online marketing book called Dot Com Secrets.
